MISSION STATEMENT

St. Matthew the Apostle Church is a diverse Roman Catholic community empowered by the Spirit of God, formed by His Word, and nourished by the Eucharist. We are called to bear witness to the Gospel through stewardship, hospitality, and service.

We are a faith community of the Roman Catholic tradition. Our community is made up of people of many ages, races, ethnic and social backgrounds.

Founded April 23, 1952 the parish community of St. Matthew continues to be a community of people who seek to worship and serve God through prayer and service. We are a stewardship community. This means that we seek to share our time, talent, and treasure with our parish community. Through our stewardship we seek to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ alive in our hearts and in the hearts of others.

Our parish provides many rich experiences of worship at our five weekend Masses and other special liturgical celebrations. Through many parish organizations, associations and ministries, opportunities for service are provided to people of all ages.
