Rosary Altar Society

The Rosary Altar Society is both a religious and social organization whose goals are to foster devotion to our Blessed Mother and her Son.  All women eighteen years of age and over who would like to increase their spirituality and make new friends are invited to attend the general meetings held on the first Tuesday of the month.  Prior to the meetings, members attend the 7:00 PM Mass which is followed by the recitation of the Rosary.  Approximately sixty of the one hundred members are active.  At the meetings mixer games are played in an attempt to get to know one another better, guest speakers or performers are highlighted  and delicious refreshments are served.  The special events held during the year include a communion breakfast, the living rosary,  the May Crowning, bake sales and the carnival.  Members aid the Parish community by staffing the Parish Sanctuary Guild which cleans the Church, maintaining the altar linens, crocheting  prayer shawls, visiting nursing homes and hospitals and hosting the hospitality booth at the carnival.
