Ushers

What does an usher do?
The duties of a parish usher start long before the mass begins. Ushers should arrive 20 minutes before the beginning of Mass. They should greet parishioners at the door, answer any questions they may have, and should also assist parishioners to locate seating. During the liturgy they are responsible for the collection of parish donations. At the conclusion of Mass, ushers assist members of the parish to leave the church and hand out bulletins. Ushers must be at least 16 years old and be patient and possess good people skills. Anyone who wishes to participate in this ministry should contact Deacon Frank Yuhas at the parish office.
