Father George Targonski, Pastor
Father George Targonski was born in Sayreville, NJ and grew up as a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish. He attended St Stan’s parish school and St. Mary’s HS (now Cardinal McCarrick HS) in South Amboy. Father received his BA in Physics from Rutgers University with a minor in Music. His work experience prior to becoming a priest includes teaching physics and math, working as an electronics engineer and as a parish music director. After completing theology studies at Seton Hall University, he was ordained in 2002. Father George’s past assignments include St Cecilia’s, Iselin and Our Lady of Mt. Virgin, Middlesex.
Father Alphonsus Kariuki, Associate Pastor
Fr. Alphonsus comes to us from Kenya, East Africa. Since his ordination 25 years ago he has worked in Kenya, Italy, Canada, Columbia, Ecuador and here in the U.S. In the Diocese of Metuchen he has served at Immaculate Conception Church in Spotswood and St. Phillip and St. James in Phillipsburg. He received his B. A. from Urbaniana Pontifical University and an M. A. in Theology from Seton Hall University. Father speaks several languages including English and Spanish.
Joan Fowler Sullivan, Principal
Joan is originally from Hanover, New Hampshire. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Skidmore College, a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Education, and Principal’s Certification, both from Caldwell University. Joan belongs to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bernardsville, which is the parish for the School of Saint Elizabeth, where Joan was a teacher for 10 years.
